Monday, September 10th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases
  • Criminal Mischief investigation was conducted on the Stratford Road.  Damage reported to a motor vehicle.
  • Assisted with a bull loose on Lost Nation Road near the cider mill.
  • Officers spent time in Lancaster District Court
  • Criminal Trespass was investigated on West Street that resulted in the serving of no Trespass order.
  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster Road verbal warning giving for the operators operation.
  • Harassment complaint taken
  • Trespass order was served on West Street
  • Domestic assault was investigation on Dean Brook drive resulting in an arrest.
  • A noise complaint was investigated on hill.

Tuesday, September 11th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases
  • Officer spent time in the Lancaster District Court on cases.
  • House check was conducted on the Lancaster Road after a report of a open door at residents was received.
  • Arrest was made on a warrant for simple assault resulting from a previous incident
  • Directed Patrols conducted on Hillside Ave.

Wednesday, September 12th

  • MV stop conducted on Eames street a summons was issued for failure to stop for school bus lights.
  • Follow up on open cases was conducted
  • 911 hang up was investigated it was found to be a misdial they were attempting to call a cell phone of 991.
  • Animal neglect incident was investigated as a result of an anonymous phone call to the Office.
  • Violation of a Protective Order was investigated, resulting in an arrest
  • 911 hang up was investigated it was found to be the result of some phone equipment being installed.
  • Directed patrols conducted on Hillside Ave.
  • Directed foot patrols conducted on the covered bridge. 
Thursday, September 13th

  • Criminal Mischief investigation of some of the lights being pulled off the train near the covered bridge was conducted.
  • Follow up of open cases was conducted
  • Assisted a citizen with a juvenile matter
  • Assisted State police with MV Stop on the Lancaster Road.
  • Assist Lebanon Police with a Warrant confirmation on a department warrant
  • Assisted a resident with a animal complaint on Crow Hill Street

Friday, September 14th

  • Assist the Groveton Fire Department with traffic on the Lancaster Road.
  • Follow up on open cases was conducted.
  • Officers spent time in the Lancaster District Court
  • Fraud case was reported and is currently being investigated.
  • Police information was received at the police station
  • 911 hang up from Hillside Ave police learned from the caller of suspicious person seen on a porch.  The area was searched no one was found in the area. 
Saturday, September 15th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • Speed Enforcement was conducted by the monuments.
  • Harassment incident was reported to the police station
  • Assist Stratford police with a report of shots being fired behind a residents
  • Community policing at the catholic hall.
Sunday, September 16th

  • Assisted resident with on going issue pertaining to property
  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • MV stop was conducted on the Lancaster Road for non inspection.  A summons was issued.
  • Directed patrols conducted on Hillside Ave.
  • Assisted a business owner on the Lancaster Road
  • Received reports of a suspicious ice cream truck on the hill.  It was checked and found to be all set.

Monday, September 3rd

  • Handled a Juvenile matter on the hill.
  • Followed up on open cases.
  • MV stop on the Stratford for speed, warning issued.
  • 911 hang up call on the old village road; it was found a child was playing with the phone.
  • Took a person into protective custody and brought them to Weeks Hospital.

Tuesday, September 4th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases
  • Directed Patrols on Hillside Ave
  • Checking on a suspicious car seen at the end of the Thompson Road.
  • Assisting State Police with some information pertaining to some breaks in the area.
  • Erratic driver being reported on State Street.
  • Assisted the ambulance on the Lancaster Road.
  • Arrested a person on warrant from Whitefield Police.
  • Conducted an investigation into some yelling and screaming on Odell Park, an arrest was made.
  • Assisted a citizen on NH Rt 110.

Wednesday, September 5th

  • Assisted a citizen with an animal complaint on Dean Brook Drive
  • Criminal Mischief investigation of damage to a picnic table inside the covered bridge.
  • Follow up was conducted on some open cases.
  • Received some police information in the office.
  • Paper work service was completed on the Stratford Road
  • Assisted State Police with trying to locate a person involved in an incident in Stark.

Thursday, September 6th

  • Directed patrol done on Hillside Ave.
  • Follow up conducted on open cases.
  • Theft of gas reported at the Coos Pit stop, person later returned and paid.
  • Assisted a citizen with an animal complaint on High Street.
  • MV complaint received from Marietta Lane about a person speeding through the park almost hitting a person.
  • MV complaint about a vehicle traveling erratically on the Lancaster Road.
  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster Road for a yellow line violation.
  • Investigated a noise complaint at 6 Spring Street resulting in two arrests.

Friday, September 7th

  • MV complaint received from a citizen on the Brown road, vehicle reported to operating erratically.
  • Follow up was done on open cases.
  • Directed Patrol completed on Hillside Ave.
  • Received a complaint from a citizen about some harassing phone calls.
  • Assisted a citizen at 6 Spring Street with opening a door.
  • Directed foot patrol on the covered bridge
  • Investigated a burglary alarm at the Passumpsic Bank.
  • MV stop was conducted in town warning issued for defective Equipment.


Saturday, September 8th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • Criminal Mischief was investigated on Main Street damage done to vehicle tires.
  • Directed patrol done on Hillside Ave.
  • Paper service was completed on the Lancaster Road.
  • Criminal Mischief investigated on Spring Street damage done to vehicle tires.
  • Arrest made on a warrant out of Gorham.
  • 911 hang up investigated on the Lancaster Road, was found to be a misdial.
  • Paper work service completed on Cottage Street
  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster road for defective equipment, warning was issued.

Sunday, September 9th

  • Assisted Lancaster Police with traffic at an accident on Page Hill Road.
  • Follow up done on open cases.
  • OHRV complaints were served on a Juvenile.
  • Directed patrols conducted on Hillside Ave.
  • Assault investigation conducted on NH Rt 110, resulting in an arrest.
  • Directed Patrol conducted on NH Rt. 110
  • Directed foot patrol done on the covered bridge, at which time a picnic table was found upside down in addition to the one reported damaged earlier in the week.  The table was up righted by the officer.
  • Assault investigation conducted on Goulet Street.

  • Vin verification was completed on Summer Street
  • Trials and arraignments were attended at the Lancaster District Court
  • Assisted a citizen at the station with obtaining a pistol permit application
  • Follow up was conducted on open cases
  • An animal complaint was served on Marietta Lane.
  • Assisted Lancaster Police with looking for a gas drive off from the big apple.
  • Directed patrols conducted on State and Church Streets.
 Tuesday, August 28th

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases
  • Training for upcoming fire arms instruction was worked on.
  • A citizen was assisted at the station with a theft pertaining to ebay.
  • Assisted a citizen with being fingerprinted.
  • Assisted probation in getting a message to one of there clients.

Wednesday, August 29th

  • Burglary investigation was conducted at the Gauterris’s restaurant in the village.
  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • 2 MV stops was conducted on the Lancaster road for non inspection warnings issued.
  • Jon Haskins was served with a complaint for allowing an improper person to operate from a previous incident.
  • MV Stop conducted on the Lancaster Road for defective equipment plate light out.
  • Assisted a citizen with a juvenile matter. 
Thursday, August 30th

  • Checking on a suspicious person walking on the Lancaster Road.
  • Assist a citizen with a civil standby
  • Follow up on open cases was conducted.
  • Assisted a citizen with a parking complaint by the high school.
  • Assisted a citizen with a having a house check conducted while they are away.
  • Assist State Police at the station with the processing of an arrestee.
  • Directed foot patrols at the covered bridge were conducted.
 Friday, August 31st

  • MV Stop conducted on the Lancaster road for a yellow line violation, a warning was given.
  • Checked on a possible domestic dispute in Odell Park.  It was found the parties were having a verbal argument, no evidence of a crime, no arrest were made.
  • MV Check was conducted on the Lancaster Road on a vehicle with a lot of heavy smoke coming from it.  No fire, but the vehicle was towed and the driver was given a ride to their home.
  • Report of dog being hit on State Street
  • Follow up being conducted on open cases.
  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster road for unlawful passing, a warning was issued.
  • MV complaint of erractic driver no contact was made
  • Directed patrol conducted on Hillside Ave.
  • An assault investigated on Lancaster Road.
  • MV Stop conducted on the Lancaster Road for a head light out. 
Saturday, September 1st

  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • Suspicious vehicle was checked in the municipal parking lot next to the Groveton Market.
  • Phone call take at the station about a black car seen going through mail boxes on Lost Nation.
  • Assisted the Ambulance on West Street
  • Investigated a 911 call on the Lancaster Road.  It turned out to be an ongoing domestic dispute on the road side.
  • Two individuals were arrested for simple assault.
  • Assisted the ambulance on Cottage Street.
Sunday, September 2nd

  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster Road for speed.  A warning was given.
  • Follow up was conducted on open cases.
  • Tommy Ferren was arrested on a warrant for two counts of assault.
  • MV stop conducted on the Lancaster Road for non inspection.  A summons was issued.
  • Assisted a citizen with a dog they found.
  • A theft of a cell phone was investigated; report was called in by a person from Massachusetts.
  • Assisted a motorist who locked themselves out of their car.
  • Three MV stops conducted on the Lancaster road for equipment violations.  Defective equipment tags were issued.
  • Directed foot patrol conducted at the covered bridge.
  • Assist a citizen with a complaint about some juveniles seen playing with knifes and bb guns.

@ Approximately 4:30pm.  Police arrested Joshua Warren 24, of Groveton on a Warrant for 3 counts of Simple Assault and 1 count of false imprisonment from an incident that occurred on July 22, 2012.  Mr. Warren was released on $1,000.00 PR bail with a court date of August 27, 2012.

@ Approximately 9pm.  Police arrested Stephen Way 33 of Groveton on aWarrant for Theft from incident back in April.  Mr. Way was released on $250.00 PR Bail with a court date of October 1, 2012.

Friday, August 24, 2012

@ Approximately 12:10 pm.  Police took a report from Tasha Hutchinson 25 of Groveton. She reported to police she has been receiving numerous unwanted phone calls from an unknown person.  In the beginning saying they owed some money.  From there they were getting worse.  To all residents with similar experiences are urged to contact police, we are in the process of doing what we can with our resources to limit these types of calls people get.

@ Approximately 10:49 pm.  Police responded to 30 High Street for a reported Domestic Dispute in progress.  As result of the incident police arrested Joshua Simpson 32 of Groveton for Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest.  He was released on $500.00 cash bail, with a court date of September 10, 2012.

@ Approximately 4:42 pm.  Police arrested Christy Bradley 28 of Groveton on a Warrant out of the Berlin Court.  She was released on $250.00 cash bail with a court date of August 27, 2012.

@ Approximately 10:21pm.  Police issued a summons to Adam Jenkins of Berlin for failing to stop at a stop sign.

@ Approximately 10:30 pm. Police arrested Tyler Leighton 18 of Groveton on Warrant for receiving stolen property, in addition Mr. Leighton was also charged with resisting. He was later transported the Coos County Jail for lack of $ 250.00 cash bail.  On Tuesday, August 14, 2012 he was arraigned in the 2nd Circuit Court – Littleton District division.  Mr. Leighton entered pleas of not guilty and his bail remained the same.  A trial is scheduled for September 11, 2012 in the 1st Circuit Court-Lancaster District Division.

@ Approximately 8:50 pm.  State Police arrested Robert Spaulding Jr. on Warrant out of the Northumberland police department on 3 counts of Simple Assault.  He was later released on $3,000 PR bail, with a court date of September 10, 2012

@ Approximately 8:55 pm.  Police took a report from Corrine Platt of Graham Street.  She reported that someone took her solar light ornament from her front lawn.  Mrs. Platt reported she had no idea who may have taken it.  Anyone have knowledge of this incident is asked to contact police.

@ Approximately 9:15 pm.  Police arrested Brooke Pinard on a warrant for passing a bad Check.  She was released on PR bail with a court date of August 27, 2012.

@ Approximately 1:45 pm. Police responded to a minor accident in front of the town pool.  Terri Woodard of Groveton while backing into a parking spot scraped another vehicle belonging to Shirley Berube. Minor damage.  No Injuries.

@ Approximately 7:50 pm. Police arrested Eugene Ward of Groveton on Warrant.  He was released on PR Bail with a court date of August 27, 2012.

@ Approximately 11:37 am.  Police responded to 23 West Street for a report of a burglary.  Upon arriving Police talked with Jud Christensen.  Jud said he came to the house and found he safe had been pried open and the contents gone through.  Jud gave a list of the items missing out of the safe.  Police currently are investigating the incident.  Anyone having knowledge of the incident is asked to contact police.

@ Approximately 10:55pm.  Richard Lagasse came to the Police station to turn himself in on a warrant from State Police.  Mr. Lagasse was released on 500. 00 pr bail with a court date in Colebrook District on September 9, 2012

@ Approximately 2:40 pm.  Police issued a summons to Patricia Clark for speed.

@ Approximately 2:50 pm.  Police issued a summons to Raymond Turgeon for speed.

@ Approximately 7:32 pm.  Police took a report of Criminal Mischief of the picnic tables at the covered Bridge.  It appears to be related to a previous report of damage to the covered bridge.  Persons wrote rude and unnecessary comments on the tables.  Anyone having knowledge of those involved in this incident is asked to contact the police Department.

@ Approximately 10:00 pm. Police transported a possible suicidal person to the Hospital in Lancaster.

@ Approximately 2:45pm.  Police issued a summons to Zane Alcantara for non inspection.

@ Approximately 7:49 pm.  Police responded to the old Village road for reported fight in progress.  Upon arriving police found numerous around.  As a result of the fight Robin Mckeage was transported to the hospital.  Police collected statements from those who witnessed the incident.  The incident is still being investigated no arrests were made that night, although charges are forth coming.

@ Approximately 3:40pm.  Police took a report of an assault of a Juvenile assaulting another juvenile.  The incident is being investigated.
  

 A reminder to all Parents and guardians of children under the age of 16 years old of the 9:00 o’clock curfew ordinance the town has in place.  The police department will be bringing children to there home if seen out without a parent or guardian between 9:00pm and 6am the next day.  Parents of children who repeatedly violate the curfew are subject to a misdemeanor offense.  If anyone wishes to have a copy of the town ordinance may stop by the police station and one will be provided.  Thanks.
