Northumberland Police News from 11 - 17 August 201

11 August 2014
1:07 PM– Officers arrested Matthew Downs on a warrant for Burglary. He was booked and transported to the Lancaster District Court where bail was set at $3000 PR.

12 August 2014
8:30 PM – Officers assisted Essex County Sheriff Trevor Colby with a search of a property on Old Village Rd.

15 August 2014
7:12 PM – Officers arrested Rocio Rivera on a warrant from Littleton Police Department Acts Prohibited. She was booked, bailed and released on $500 PR with a pending court date in the Littleton District Court.

16 August 2014
9:41 PM – Officers assisted Groveton Ambulance with an emergency call on Crow Hill Rd.

17 August 2014
3:53 PM – Ross Powers of Amesbury, MA was issued a citation for speed.

4:42 PM – James Woodbury Jr of Belmont, NH was issued a citation for speed.

5:52 PM – Cynthia Tardiff of Lunenburg, VT was issued a citation for speed.

6:33 PM – Officers responded to Dean Brook for a report of a barking dog. Officers spoke to the dog owner who brought the dog inside.

7:25 PM – Trisha Gaudette was detained for a Probation Violation per order of Probation and Parole. She was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections by the Coos County Sheriff’s Department.

11:21 PM – Officers responded to 71 Graham St for a noise complaint, spoke to residents who said they will keep it down.

Arson Investigation on First Street

The Police Department is currently investigating an arson fire that occurred early Thursday Morning on First Street. The Fire Department was called at approximately 3:20am. The Police Department is looking for anyone who may have heard or seen anything during this time. If so we encourage them to call the Police Department or message me here. Northumberland Police News from 28 July – 3 August 2014

8:55 AM– Rena Call of Groveton, NH was issued a citation for speed.

9:53 PM – Officers assisted deputies from the Coos County House of Corrections with returning Joshua Dorr who had been released on an ankle monitoring device back to Coos County House of Corrections for violating his conditions of release.

30 July 2014
9:02 PM – Officers responded to 74 First St for a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival the parties were already separated and one had already left the scene. Case is under investigation.

31 July 2014
12:45 AM – Officers assisted NH State Police with a traffic stop on Lancaster Road.

4:49 PM – Officers assisted a couple with a civil stand by on Graham St.

1 August 2014
5:07 PM - Officers detained William Jackson at the request of Officers from the Coos County House of Corrections. He had been released on an ankle monitoring device however he was returned back to Coos County House of Corrections.


6:50 PM – Anthony Berry of Lancaster was arrested for Operating after Revocation or Suspension. The vehicle was towed by D&S Auto and he was released with a 25 August court date in the Lancaster Court

18 July 2014
4:47 PM – Citation issued to Whitney Leggett of Plymouth, NH for speed.  

6:18 PM – Citation issued to Crystal Harding of Colebrook, NH for speed.  

10:25 PM – Officers responded to Route 3 at the intersection of Riverside Drive for a motor vehicle accident. Wayne Deschuiteneer of Manchester, NH was travelling North on Route 3 when a moose jumped the guard rail in front of him. He could not stop his truck and struck the moose causing damage to his truck. No one was injured in the accident and the moose was put down. 


19 July 2014 
10:40 PM – Citation issued to Megan Surridge of Whitefield, NH for speed.  

20 July 2014
10:31 PM – Officers assisted NH State Police on Pine St in Stratford with a reported domestic dispute.
